Normandale hosts Latinx Family Night on September 26

Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 to October 15, and Normandale Community College is celebrating and honoring the month with recognitions and events including a special Latinx Family Night on Thursday, September 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.

This event is designed to provide Latino students and their families valuable information on academic success, college financing, and the college enrollment process.

Enrollment of Hispanic students at Normandale has gone up 10% since 2019, and continues to grow at the college, state and national level. This event aims to ensure that our community is well-prepared the opportunities ahead.

During this informative evening, we will discuss critical topics that include:

  • Is college a good option for me right now?
  • How to achieve academic success?
  • Understanding the costs of college and how to pay for it (including Financial Aid FAFSA and the Minnesota Dream Act).

Latinx Family Night will take place in the College Services Building in Room C 1040 from 5 to 7 p.m. Please bring your family and friends. You can click on our RSVP link to reserve your spot.

We looking forward to exploring the many opportunities that Normandale has to offer and ensuring that our students have the support they need to succeed. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to connect, learn, and enjoy a night filled with culture, community and valuable insights.
